Can he get released on bond?

To find out, call (281) 985-8400 to speak to the ICE officer handling your relative’s case.  The ICE officer can sometimes tell you if he is eligible for release on bond.  Sometimes, however, it takes a long time for ICE to determine bond eligibility, and ICE officers may be difficult to reach.  In any case, you can often challenge an ICE officer’s bond decision by requesting a bond hearing before the immigration court.  An experienced immigration attorney can request such a hearing, and give your relative the best shot of being released on bond and for the lowest amount.
